Element Overland Park

Whoever is working the night shift was having full blown conversations with someone at the front desk laughing and what not. Could hear everything on the first floor. Got out of my room to shut the door to the first floor. It is 1am people are trying to sleep, have a little bit of courtesy to your guests. I’ve stayed here before and usually have no issues. Don’t recommend the 1st floor.

Lovely, modern decor throughout. Comfortable beds. Have stated multiple times before and will stay again. Only two minor complaints: immediate surroundings of hotel and gaps allowing light under/around room door. When I say immediate surroundings, the hotel is surrounded by a series of empty parking lots which infinitely confuses me and Google maps.

This place is great. Top customer service and a great hotel for comfort. Awesome patio with a grill and fire pit. Check out a bicycle and go exploring the area. The cooked breakfast and ready to go breakfast are amazing!! Did I say 24/7 espresso? Pool. The staff is very attentive and polite. Evening happy hour with free snacks and alcohol. I like this place a lot great management. Clean. Very clean.

Very disappointed at this price point by treatment received at this hotel upon arrival not one staff member bothered to greet me or extend simple hello or courteous welcome which as a result ended up affecting rest of my stay because there were issues with room stay and had I known that someone cared about me or my stay they possibly could’ve addressed issues but didn’t find this out until end of stay when manager confronted me on my way out while citing my name even though we had never been introduced one of problem staff members was overheard saying that’s her there she is upon my exit in lobby. Full kitchen suite lacked basic can opener to open my dogs food. I was told afterwards by manager that I could have called front desk for help. Why would I have expected to be able to do this when they couldn’t even acknowledge me as human being when I entered establishment. Then hotel bed mattress and pillows were too soft for my back and neck which exasperated my back pain issues which took 2 days to recover from and I was again told by manager I could’ve called front desk for firmer pillows but why would I think they would care when they couldn’t even be bothered to acknowledge my presence upon checkin. Finally low flush mechanism on toilet sounds like loud jet engine when flushing and can be heard between rooms and floors which was embarrassing and noisy to use especially in middle of night so taking all of this into account it’s a nice looking hotel aesthetically but overall was never made to feel welcome or comfortable so for this reason I would not return I guess this is how you silently get rid of people who look like me by quietly treating them to inhospitable uncourteous silence so they never feel welcome or ever want to come back. Incidentally front staff member never apologized for bad behavior nor seemed to be remorseful so guess she accomplished what she set out to do by making guest feel so unwelcome they never want to return. For shame so using my voice to bring light.
